Addicted to CAS Challenge #169 - Creature

Hello there, CAS Addicts! It's time for a new challenge! Our Hostess is Toni, and she has chosen 'Creature' as our code word!
Before we begin, let's review the rules for the challenge:

We have a super talented Guest Designer for this challenge...Vicky Hayes

Hi! I’m Vicky Hayes from Crafting Clare’s Paper Moments. My blog is called that because my daughter used to say “Uh-oh! I see Crafting Clare has got her stuff out again!” whenever I had a crafty moment! Rude! I was introduced to stamping at a Stamping’ Up party in 2009 and was blown away by the colours. I became a demo and was proud to be chosen to be the first UK Artisan Designer in 2014-15. Soon afterward, I became ill and gave up stamping but, this year, I suddenly had the urge to make a card again and blog it. Unfortunately, my husband had sold most of my stash thinking I wouldn’t want it (it’s ok, he’s still alive and I’ve forgiven him!) Now, I’m in the process of rebuilding and oh my goodness, it’s fun!

Addicted to CAS Card Challenge #168 - Style

Hello there, CAS Addicts! It's time for a new challenge! Our Hostess is Raga, and she has chosen 'Style' as our code word!
Before we begin, let's review the rules for the challenge:

We have a super talented Guest Designer for this challenge...Shawna

Hello, my name is Shawna Standish from TheGrandStampede. I am so happy to be with Addicted to CAS as their guest designer. So, how did I start stamping and cardmaking? Well, it started off on a grim note.
I was told in 2013 that I have lost sight in my periphery and center vision. The doctors said it may progress to complete blindness. Fortunately, after seeing a number of specialists it was determined my blindness occurred earlier in life.
During this time, I started to look at the world in a different way. It was full of vivid colors, bold shapes, brighter lights, and unique elements. It all looked so clear to me. I wanted to soak it all up.
I was so inspired by my ‘new’ sight, that I acquired an immense amount of creative energy. I had to get it out, somehow? It was then I discovered stamping. I was hooked and wanted to share my love for crafting with others who felt the same way. I  knew I had to do more. So, 2014 I started my blog TheGrandStampede. I entered some challenges and was so inspired by everyone’s craftiness and your wonderful comments that it put my creativity in overdrive.
Personally, I have a fantastic supportive husband of eighteen years and am a mother of two tween/teen children. Other than crafting, I like to camping (I should really say glamping), fishing, coloring and spending time with my family.
That should do it for me. I would like to thank Addicted to CAS  again for this tremendous opportunity. If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to check out my blog TheGrandStampede and become a follower. I only hope you get as much inspiration from me as I have from all of you.

Favorites & CAS Perfectionist - Challenge #166 "One Layer Card"

Welcome back CAS card lovers! Barb was our hostess and she has chosen her favorites and winner.

One layer cards are very tricky to create. We always want to add a few gems or a small die-cut but we can't! Our CAS design must stand on its' own  Nevertheless, there were so many fabulous creations for this challenge, and it was really difficult to choose 3 favorites and a winner!

Here are the top 3 in order of entry

#16 - Fran Wing
White space doesn't have to be white

A great example of stenciling behind a digital image...and a video, too!

#51 - A. Rose
A classic CAS one layer card with beautiful ink blending

Congratulations, ladies! Here is a Badge to post on your blog:

Our CAS Perfectionist (winner) for this challenge is...
#30 - Shawna

Here is what Barb had to say ...
This card is a great reminder that we can be inspired by everything around us...Shawna's inspiration was a delivery truck that passed her by while at a stoplight! I love how she die cut her masks with circle dies, sponged all those beautiful colors to create a scene, then used a ruler and black pen to create the horizon lines...so much dimension...WOW!

Congratulations, Shawna! Here is a badge for you to post on your blog -
