A big welcome to Dawn (Designs by Dragonfly) as our Guest Designer for September.

My name is Dawn.  I am a native of the beautiful Pacific Northwest in the United States.  I have been happily married to my best friend, husband and crafting enabler for 35 years.  By day I teach reading and math in small groups offering that little extra support my kiddos need to succeed.  By night I am a wife, mother to our sweet daughter and of course an avid crafter.  I have loved to craft in one form or another since I was a child.  I would like to thank the talented design team at Addicted to CAS for this wonderful honor.

Isn't team just crazy good? Amazing inspiration for you all to join in.

Challenge #71 Blue

Happy Saturday and welcome back to Addicted to CAS!

We have a wonderful challenge for you this week which is hosted by the amazing Joanna.

Before we get to our challenge, some of you may have seen our previous post about helping a blogging friend of ours and her family. Please check the sidebar and the post HERE. Even if everyone could post on their own blogs to help our fundraising efforts, that would be amazing.

If you follow us on Facebook, we would be so grateful if you were to share our post about Christopher. We have 283 people following us on FB. Not that many in the whole scheme of things but if each person shared our post it could reach the millions in no time :)

So far we have raised nearly 300 Euros. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. Let's keep it going!

Onto our challenge -

You could be the lucky winner of a $20 gift certificate!

We need your help

We need your help.

Our dear friend Bozena (friend and fellow design team member at Happy Little Stampers), needs our help in saving her brother’s life.

Her brother, Christopher (46) has been diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. He has gone through two courses of chemotherapy and is not strong enough to continue with more treatments.

The only option for him now is to try alternative medical treatments, which are available in Germany, but have a very high financial cost ($220,000 Euros --- approximately $246,000 US).

We have been blessed with many friends made through this wonderful craft of card making. And we know that crafters are very generous of heart.

We ask that you help Christopher fund his medical treatments. We have set up a PayPal button for donations. Please consider donating to help save Christopher’s life. Any amount … even a few dollars, when donated by many, grows quickly.

Whether you are able to help financially or not, please consider adding Christopher to your prayers.

Thank you so much.

Another way to support Christopher.

Our crafting community is known for pulling together in support of those in need. If you have time, a positive message card would be greatly appreciated to boost Christopher’s spirits. Thanks to Marti for this wonderful suggestion.
